This house is the perfect home away from home to return to after a fun-filled day in San Diego!  Just steps to Broadway, our nearest cross street, and 1 mile east of downtown, just far enough away from all of the action and nightlife makes this an ideal location to enjoy peace and quiet at home and still be anywhere in Downtown within minutes!  



There is currently construction going on next door as of Feb 2023, which May cause noise during your stay. 



Large size fully equipped kitchen with Granite Counters and Stainless Appliances provides all the amenities needed for making your own home cooked meals.  Living room with cable TV, 2 futon sleeper sofas for additional guests, Master Bedroom with King size bed, walk in closet and attached bathroom provides privacy while the additional sleeping options in the living room are great for families or friends traveling together; an additional guest bathroom is just off the kitchen / reading nook.  This home sleeps up to 6 people and is 1,000 sq ft.  Enjoy the newly renovated front and backyards with patio tables, outdoor kitchen: built in BBQ, counters, and sink, gas firepit and Jacuzzi that all guests are welcome to share on this 6 unit property.  

Beware of falling avocados in the backyard!  Use them for delicious homemade guacamole!  

Within just a few blocks you have your choice of a plethora of delicious local eateries, plus so many wonderful choices in nearby downtown.

Located in the heart of the historic, unique and beautiful neighborhood of Golden Hill, only 2 miles away you can take in one of the many museums or the botanical garden during a pleasant walk through beautiful Balboa Park where you'll hear live music and see street performers as you wander from one site to another. Riding home on the Bus drops you off just a couple of blocks from the home or use Uber or Lyft to get around for about half the price of a taxi. Want to see a spectacular view of San Diego Bay?  Visit the Star of India, Midway Museum and Seaport Village, all within 1.5 - 3 miles.  You can also hop on the ferry and cross the bay to Coronado for a day on the island. Golden Hill has easy access to all the major San Diego highways, making a trip to most San Diego beaches just 10-20 minutes away.  Sit back on the couch and enjoy the flat screen TV with HDTV or hop on the internet with our fast free recently upgraded WiFi.  Did your clothes get sandy at the beach?  We have Free on site laundry, please shake sand out of clothes before washing to preserve the life of the machines.  Each room is decorated with all the comforts of home in mind.  Sheets, towels, and blankets are all provided as well as dish soap, toilet paper, kitchen sponge and paper towels. Traveling with your furry friend?  We consider pets, please inquire first.

Parking privileges in the driveway of 1 parking spot is reserved for this unit.

While our #1 priority is insuring that our valued guests enjoy their stay with us, we also have an equally as important commitment to our neighbors and our community. Below are the house rules that we must enforce. Please read them prior to confirming your reservation. If you are not comfortable with these rules, we encourage you to please make alternate accommodations:



 • Minimum age of each guest 18 years unless accompanied by their parent / guardian if using instant book. (if under 21 please inquire first) 

• No smoking is allowed at any of our properties 

• Overnight occupancy is not to exceed the posted maximum occupancy. Occupancy is defined by the total number of people at the property at any time. 





****NO PARTIES AT ANY TIME – a party is defined as any combination of the following; ANY loud noise and/or excessive drinking that is disruptive to neighboring houses and/or guests outnumbering the maximum amount permitted as defined above. A party will result in an immediate eviction from the property with no refund given under any circumstance. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by Southern California Rentals in writing prior to the arrival date.



• Check-in is at or after 4PM | Check out is at 11am 



Pets Considered at most properties, please inquire first rather than using instant book when bringing a pet. Pets must be screened for Breed, size and behavior and approved before a reservation is made. Pet fee applies. Any Guest who brings any pet onto the premises without prior permission will be fined. Please do not bring additional unpaid guests on property without prior written permission. 



Vacation Rental Agreement will be emailed to you for your digital signature and initials before your trip or signed in person before receiving access code for check in.



The Cleaning fee is charged to help cover the cost and time of Laundering bedding and towels which are provided clean for each guest. Professional cleaning of 8 man hours is also provided in this fee. Please empty your bagged trash into the outside black and blue (for recycling) cans. Only dispose of bagged trash in cans, and wash and put away dishes before checkout. 

 



For long term stays of 30 days or more, we require each adult occupant to pass a rental application that checks credit, criminal background and rent history. We reserve the right to refuse/cancel/alter your length of stay to 29 days or less if you refuse or do not pass the rental application.  The cost of application processing is $35 per applicant.

I stayed in this unit for a month, with my husband and our cats. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our staying - from kitchenware to fluffy blankets. The backyard is adorable and the jacuzzi is really nice! The hosts are nice and responded all our messages quickly. We had a nice time with no problems at all, totally recommend!

The location is perfect! Very close to downtown and easy to get anywhere because it’s right off of the highway. The house is very clean and has anything and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The laundry room is very nice and super convenient to have.

First of all, the place was a lot more spacious than expected. Loved the view of the city when we took our dog for a walk, the scenery was just beautiful. However we thought that we were going to have the back yard to ourselves but that was not the case at all because there were other rental home with people.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Golden Hill. The home was clean, had everything we needed (full kitchen, air conditioning, parking, laundry) and the location was amazing. This was our first visit to San Diego and every day when we'd decide what we wanted to do, we were surprised at how close we were to everything. The neighborhood is very quiet (I can't remember hearing noise at night once) and there are places to eat within walking distance -- we ended up having breakfast multiple days at a coffee shop that's just a couple blocks away. The king-size bed in the unit was very comfortable, and there were plenty of places to sit and relax between activities (we really enjoyed the patio in the backyard). Overall we are very happy we rented this unit and hope to rent it again on our next visit to San Diego.

My parents, siblings and I (5 people) stayed over the new years and it was truly a great location! The 5 Fwy is two blocks away, and if you are up to it, you can even take a 40min walk to downtown downhill from the house. The house is great! We cooked bbq two days using the one in the backyard and even spent sometime near a newly renovated fireplace. The rest of the days we had breakfast at the house with a fully stocked kitchen. I really recommend this place because you really get a great value for the price.
